The Academic Module assesses whether a candidate is ready to study or train in the medium of English at either the undergraduate or postgraduate level. Admission of undergraduate and postgraduate courses should be based on the results of this module. An overall score of 6.5 is considered good for Most Of the Universities- but the range may vary from 5.5 (for Diploma Courses) to 7 or 7.5 Bands (for Health & Education related courses.) The General Training Module emphasizes language skills in broad social and workplace contexts. It is required for candidates who are going to migrate or planning to undertake work experience or training program to an English-speaking country- such as Australia, Canada, New Zealand or the UK. The acceptable score may vary from 6 Bands to 7 Bands Overall- Depending upon the Category of Migration & the requirement of the employer.

Test duration for IELTS: 2 hours and 45 minutes.

Computer-Based IELTS
Test sessions available morning, afternoon and evenings too!
IELTS on Computer test dates are available up to 7 days a week, 3 times a day –morning, afternoon and evening! Now you can opt for a date and time as per your own convenience.
- Location: At an official IELTS test center
- Delivery: Listening, Reading, and Writing sections are taken on a computer
- Speaking test: Still conducted face-to-face with an examiner
- Results: Available in 1-2 days
- Availability: More frequent test dates and times

Paper-Based IELTS
Test availability for IELTS on Paper
The test dates for IELTS on Paper in India are available four times a month or 48 times a year, and are generally held on Saturdays and Thursdays to provide flexibility and convenience to the test seekers.
- Location: At an official IELTS test center
- Delivery: Listening, Reading, and Writing sections are taken on a Paper
- Speaking test: Also face-to-face with an examiner (usually same day or up to 7 days before/after)
- Results: Available in 8 days
